The Concept
Pelham Arts is an organization that is ultimately about creating an open source network for artists.
This is a source for all artists that will enable them to develop from the feedback of a worldwide artistic imagination.
No matter what genre we aim to enable communication with artists you need to find for your project.
The solution for all artists lays in the ability of their own imagination at the end of the day.... If there is solution to your problem, then Pelham Arts will solve it, or at least guide you to find your way......
Pelham Arts is developing a system that takes care of what we could call the mundanity of management in order to free up more time for personal practice and maximise the benefits to be attained by using a service that does the work for you.
In order to tackle this we came up with the idea to provide a unique IT based management system that not only allows you to communicate with other practitioners in your field, but also enable the presentation of work opportunities on a freelance basis.
This is a service that will match demands to talents. It will compare competencies to experience and evaluate a talent to fit the demand.
This is a system that fits into automatic risk assessment, automatic billing and invoicing and semi automated artists booking system so that you wouldn't even need a computer to stay connected with the opportunities as you could use your mobile phone.
With the support of our experienced and highly qualified IT department that dream is now becoming a reality.
Pelham Arts aims are to be an asset to national creative practices and businesses nationwide as an organisation that supports the promotion of the arts to the wider population by supporting all the variables.
In order for us to develop our software to suit you needs your feedback that is always appreciated and taken in due consideration, as such feedback from those who are using our services is important to us.
We aim to set the creative in each and every unique individual free from the daily restraints that prevent us from thinking clearly and managing our creative outlook otherwise.
Please let us know your viewpoints....

Cheryl Grindle - Creative Director
Trained in Graphic Design at Hastings College of Arts and Technology Cheryl went into designing and producing murals for children’s bedrooms by commission, part time whilst raising her own family. During this period she also taught art workshops for adults and children through local organised events and a drop in centre where she was the coordinator. In addition to drawing and painting she taught mosaic, stained glass, papier mache, silk painting and a broad range of crafts in general.
In 1994 Cheryl became a scenery painter for theatre companies, which also involved designs and props for pantomime. This enabled Cheryl to also specialise in paint effects, prop making, wood staining and stencilling, building up her portfolios, pioneering South East Murals and establishing her reputation as a freelance artist.
In 1998 Cheryl had decided that she would seek to express herself by taking a Fine Art Degree at the Kent Institute of Art and Design. She subsequently increased her repertoires further to include printmaking, photography, filmmaking and sculpture.
Since then (2001) Cheryl returned to Hastings College as a lecturer of Art and Design for NCFE craft foundation, vocational access and 6th Form students. She has run workshops for the Children’s University, school projects and her local community throughout her career as an artist.
Cheryl left Hastings College in 2007 to become chairman of Pelham Arts and has since worked as a voluntary secretary for Hastings Arts Forum.
In addition to her role as a creative director, Cheryl enjoys digital photography as her sketchbook media, from which she draws much inspiration by transforming her images into breathtaking murals and backdrops.
In addition to establishing and building the reputation of Pelham arts Cheryl is also writing several books, inspired by travel, life experiences, intraspective investigations of philosophy, driven by her passion for the discovery of certain truths.
